Lipstick

Almost all girls go through lipstick DRAMA!! There are quite categories to choose from such as lipstick finish and lipstick shade. I believe in order to find your perfect lipstick you have to look for the finish that you like. It took me pretty long time to find mine, which is MATTE. It will take you more time to figure your favorite lipstick finish that looks good on YOU “ not all colors or finishes suits everyone’s complexion or type” and then it will become easier to figure out your favorite shades. So this is short summary of all the Mac lipstick finishes = )

MAC lipstick comes in nine different finishes:

 Amplified and Amplified Creme: These two are in the same “family” – both are soft and creamy, have a medium-to-high level of pigment and coverage, with a glossy finish. I think the difference is that Amplified Cremes are… creamier (to state the obvious).

 Cremesheen: They are, as the name suggests, creamy and glossy. They are also well pigmented.

 Dazzle: Very glittery – each lipstick has “micro-glitter” particles in it, so they have a very sparkly finish. I think the glitter in these is even more concentrated than in the Dazzleglass glosses, so if you like very high-impact, glittery lips these are for you( I like to call it “Batani Style”).

 Frost: These lipsticks are quite sheer, and always shimmery. It’s perfect finish if you are seeking Kim Kardashian’s look or for a dark smoky eye.

 Glaze: Very sheer and translucent. These are very subtle, extremely low coverage, and can almost just look transparent. Glazes are best layered over other lipsticks. If you can’t find a certain color in either amplified crème or cremesheen buy it matte and pop some glaze on it “they aren’t shimmery, but glossy”.

 Lustre: These have a glossy, wet-look finish, and quite a good color payoff. The good thing about luster that they aren’t shimmery they have ZERO glitter ,which I love.

 Matte: Quintessential matt lipstick. As with most matt products they tend to be drying on the lips, but have great color payoff, pigmentation and coverage. However, if you don’t have dry lips and God blessed you with conditioned, soft and lovely lips you don’t need to worry about it chipping .

 Satin: Think matt with a teeny tiny bit of gloss. Like matt lipsticks, they are highly pigmented, give great coverage and are long-lasting, but unlike matt they are not too drying.

Sometimes the distinctions between each category are very insignificant, and so take the classifications with a pinch of salt. They are however, a pretty useful guide to choosing lipsticks if you have no idea where to start!
