Eyeliners are the most essential item in my daily makeup routine. Eyeliners can give you different look depending on the type of the eyeliner you use or the technique you adapt. The problem with eyeliners that it doesn’t suits all of us, because we have different types of skin. However, God bless MAC and other makeup brands they solved our problem by giving us variety of eyeliners. So let’s start by explaining the types of eyeliner and which skin type it suits.
1) Gel/crème eyeliner: It goes on smoothly giving you the control of a pencil with the density of a liquid liner. This type of eyeliner is forgiving, because you can wear it soft and smudged and look penciled or strong and bold and look liquid-lined. It is easy to control gel/crème eyeliners. Its suits all skin types and if you have oily skin you can smudge powder eye shadow on top of your gel eyeliner. MAC fluidline and Bobbie Brown are gel/crème liners
2) Liquid liners: It takes more time to figure out how to use liquid eyeliner, because it’s simply messy!! Unless it comes in a pen form like the Kanebo one. If you like being dramatic go for liquid eyeliner, because it’s gives you harsh/perfect look. With more practice you will be able to use it like a PRO =D and the most amazing thing it matches all skin types and no need for any eye shadow. However, once you messed up your eyeliner you are DONE you have to redo it.
Moving on to this picture where we have 4 eyeliners (starting with the right side of the swatches):
1) Mac Fluidline (Blacktrack): My favorite eyeliner of the four if I have time to be creative and the pigmentation is great for a gel liner. It doesn’t dry fast, which gives you time to fix it. Another thing some artists use it as a base for their shadows.
2) Bobbie Brown (Black Ink): The texture is drier than MAC so it dries fast. Also it doesn’t give you the chance to fix as MAC’s. It takes longer to apply than MAC’s because you keep going back to the pot and adding on you line to make it darker (low pigmentation). It comes with a cute eyeliner brush that works well with the texture of the product.
3) Lancome Traceur Matic: It’s great if you are wearing a heavy makeup such as wedding makeup, because it’s so heavy that it can cover they fake eyelashes. The color is to die for very dark black “go ask your mom about this eyeliner =) all moms in Qatar used it”. Recently, they changed the bottle few times so don’t worry it still has the same formula but matter.
4) Kanebo Liquid liner “REFILL”: Ok if you are late and don’t have the time for eyeliner malfunction or drama this eyeliner is the one for you. It is like using pen to draw on your eyes. I refilled it 3 times and I still love it <3 <3 <3 <3 In this picture I got the wrong refill from Thailand and another brand, but I’m going to ( Sephora, 4U, Faces, Salam, maybe boots) to get the black ink for it.
So guyz I hope I helped you by rambling about few of my favorite eyeliners. Personally, I believe purchase either the MAC or Kabebo or both they cost less than 200 QR and they work great.
